Description:
The Chapel of St. Niceta was built perhaps in 1167 by Tancredi d'Altavilla . Ancient abbey, dependent on the Monastery of San Nicola di Casole near Otranto, remain only the Church and rests of the monastery. The Church has a rectangular plan and a square presbytery with three Gothic arches that support the vaulted roof. The building was renovated around 400, as evidenced by the frescoes on the arches of the left wall.
