Description:
The Church of Santa Maria di Miggiano is a building perhaps of Byzantine origin. Today, the preserved frescoes are mostly dating from the fourteenth century. The building is the only witness to the ancient village of Miggiano. Have recently been carried out restoration work. Archaeological excavations have revealed some early medieval graves. The church is a very interesting example of rural church richly frescoed.
