Description:
The Church of Santa Marina is a beautiful Byzantine building of the IX-X century. The structure is very interesting, as the church was built with blocks of ancient Messapian walls of the city. The interior is very impressive, especially for the many frescoes that decorated the walls. Among them, the cycle of frescoes depicting the life and works of St. Nicholas is very important (before the 1087).
