Its foundation is very old, before the year one thousand, albeit in modest forms. It was enlarged and enriched by Charles of Anjou in 1290 much to be famous throughout the kingdom, and majesty mugnificenza. Renovated several times in later centuries, because of the frequent and disastrous earthquakes today still offers a beautiful late-Gothic façade that has pierced the canopy failed. The complex now known as the "Round" opens on a circular courtyard onto which different environments typically used in shows and exhibitions. The interior, embellished by stucco Piazzoli of Peter Lombard and other masters, keeps on the wall of the counter-organ of Domenico Antonio Fidelis of Camerino in 1754, framed by lush displays carved wood, a wooden crucifix of four hundred and remains of frescoes tardotrecenteschi. On the right is situated the altar of Lombardy with the beautiful altarpiece of the Visitation of John Paul Olmo of 500.
