| The church of Santa Maria della Tomba was built on the ruins of a pagan temple dedicated to Jupiter, and the first piece of news is dated to 1067. The folk tradition also identified in this place, as well as the site of the sanctuary of Hercules Curino, the villa of the Roman poet Ovid.
The front end 300, with a Gothic portal and rose window, flanked by the bell. Of particular interest inside is a bell of 1313 and a fine terracotta Madonna and Child in the late 400. |
