he former secret court chancellery was built between 1717 and 1720 by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt and has for more than 250 years represented the centre of power in Austria. The Vienna Congress met here in 1814/15. Today the baroque building is the seat of the Austrian Chancellor and the Foreign Minister.
