| Each year, in early July, the annual EXIT music festival, the city is full of young people from across Europe. In 2005, more than 150,000 people visited the festival in Novi Sad on the map of summer festivals in Europe. [33] Besides EXIT festival, Novi Sad Fair attract many business people into the city, in May the city hosts the largest agricultural shows in the region of 600,000 people visited in 2005. [34] There is a tourist port near Varadin Bridge in the city center offers various river cruise vessels across Europe who cruise on the Danube.
The best-known structure of the Petrovaradin fortress in Novi Sad, which dominates the city and the picturesque views of the city. Besides the castle, there is also historic neighborhood of Stari Grad, many monuments, museums, caffes, restaurants and shops. There is also a national park near the Fruška Gora, approx. 20 km from the city center. |
