| It was built at the end of the 13th Century. The Monastery, which some believe to have been also a hospice for pilgrms, was destroyed in 1654, and the dimension of the church reduced, although it continued to be used until the early decades of the 20th century. In 1830 the complex was used as a candle factory and private home. Following an important restoration undertaking, the monastery has become a documentation centre for the economy of transhumance in the Mediterranean trade. |
