Description:
The monastry of Wilten, dating from th 12th century has always played an important part of Innsbruck's history. About 30 monks service the today the 21 parishes belonging to the monastery. The building was renovated in the 17th century again in baroque style and houses also a museum full of church treasures. The museum can be visited, no entrance fee, but donations are welcome.
