| Built in a purely Romanesque style, the old church with an annexing convent was founded in 1232 with the blessing of Nicola Paglia di Giovinazzo, superior of the Dominican order. The facade is distinguished by the presence of a large central rose window, while the Interior nave is characterized by the presence of two baroque altars. On the left side of the facade, you can see an inscription: 1232 A (NNO) FU (N) D (ATIO) CO (NVE) NTUS, which gives us a precise historical reference to the construction of the Church. The adjoining monastery is now home to an educational institution. |
