| The Mother Church is dedicated to the Assumption. It is assumed that its origin is ascribed to the 14th century as a "Ecclesian Sancte Marie", a title that still keeps the Mother Church, is mentioned in the inventory of Dodge Raimondo Orsini in 1396. The fourteenth-century building, headquarters of the collegiate chapter, but the plant was expanded in the sixteenth century there are only a few elements: the Renaissance apse with ten alcoves to the east; the west rose window, which was once the main façade. Inside, in the side chapels, are preserved some paintings among which the "Deposition", a "Lady of Consolation", a "Last Supper". |
