Stiftskirche Hall in Tirol
Church, ruined church, chapel, temple

no
The Stiftskirche was built in 1567 for Erzherzogin Magdalena by the Hofbaumeister of Innsbruck, Giovanni Lucchese. The church was finished within 3 years, but in 1670 an earthquake damaged the tower and the church was rebuilt in Baroque style. In 1786 the Haller Damenstift was closed by the emperor, all the interior of the church was taken out and taken to other churches and the buildings were used as a storehouse for weapons, as a store for the royal carriages and partly even as a market-hall. It lasted untill 1914 that this church was opened again as a church.
