| he old Bruderschaftskapelle is nowadays part of the 5-starhotel "Hospiz" , but you can enter it also from outside of the hotel and it might be a good place to take a look, when you drive across the pass-road.
Holy Christoph / Christphorus is the saint, who is in charge of travellers and merchants and in 1386 the Bruderschaft St.Christoph am Arlberg was founded by Heinrich Fildelkind and it was an order of monks, who dedicated their life to giving shelter, food and lodging to the merchants and all other people crossing the pass-road over the Arlberg.
You cannot get inside the chapel, but at least you can take a look through the iron-fence. |
