In 1528 one of twin columns in Brindisi collapsed and drums were given as a present to Lecce from Brindisi as a sign of gratitude to S. Of the original column only the marble stalk remain; the second capital is ascribed to the architect Zimbalo and on it is the bronze statue of S. Oronzo.
