| Rebuilt in 1691 over a previous temple, the Domenicans, who lived in the adjoining convent, today’s seat of the Accademia delle belle Arti. On the façade you can see flowered vases, tips of lances. Also in the balustrade before the window of the benedictions, with the statue of the Virgin. The Greek cross interior is large and solemn and ends with an unusual octagonal tambour. The Baroque altars are beautiful executed and adorned with the coats and arms of the local patrician families who contributed to the construction of the church. |
