Description:
This is a small single-nave church with dimensions of 5 x 3 m. It is supposed to have been built during the 14th century. For a while the church served a joint Orthodox and Catholic congregation but is today recognised solely as Orthodox. The church has produced some of Budva’s most important historical artefacts. Ancient frescoes and significant architectural features have been uncovered here. During the Venetian and Austrian occupations the most valuable possessions of this church disappeared. Today there is almost no traces of decorations with icons, frescoes and sculptures.
