| Castello Orsini is the city's most famous monument. Construction commenced in 1490 and the castel was remodelled in later centuries by the Colonna family. The caste has two ancient towers, severl sections of wall and a portal depicting the battle of Lepanto (in which the Colonnas found glory) flanked by two bears (the symbol of the Orsini). The interior, which was rebuitl after the war, houses the Moder Art Gallery, featuring works of Bragaglia, Schifano and Pascali. |
