| The Convent of S. francesco is a 15th century construction with 16th century cloister that features traces of 17th century frescoes. The complex houses two important insitutions. The Museo Etnografico della Civiltà Contadina features a reconstruction of several rooms in popular style, as well as traditional everyday objects. The refectory houses the Museo dell'Archeologia Vestina featuring archaeological findings from the surrounding area. A separate area houses the private Collezione Archeologica Casamarte, a collection assembled in the 19th century documenting three thousand years of man's presence in the Loreto Aprutino area. |
