| The habits of life of families, until the first half of the twentieth century, are all in the Museum of the Ancient House. It is a careful reconstruction of the rooms and furnishings of a house typical of the castle. Everything is treated with attention to detail, entering the house you have the feeling that someone still lives there. The furniture and objects on display suggest a simple life in a patriarchal society which reserved for women a prominent role in families, especially for the long absences of their husbands at home. Strong women, therefore, able to replace men in the fields of hard work but also in wool processing, in addition to running the ordinary household tasks. |
