| The church is in Baroque style and extends the entire length of one side of the Convent of the Minor, founded in 1589. Above the main altar of the church stands a majestic painting of the Immaculate, the work of Flemish painter Spranger. Notice the details: at the bottom of the painting is a Franciscan monk with a book in hand, is the Franciscan philosopher Duns Scotus, the top is the portrait of the author that looks at the female image that is the opposite side, and which may represent his beloved. |
