A fine example of Benedectine architecture. Built in the 11th century it has recently been restored. Of particular note are the three refined apses, built with stone quarried in the Maiella montains, which surround the Abbey on three sides. The Romanesque interior, which is divided into three naves by rectangular pillars, contains an ambo and some recently discovered 14th century frescoes.
