The Church and the monastery were erected by Accardi Counts of Lecce in 1133. In the one cusp of façade there is the statue of St. Benedict, founder of the Order. The belfry, with a square base with small arched motifs, belongs to the first half of 16th Century. The Latin cross interior consists of a single nave and is a typical example of local Baroque.
