| The Mazara- Gizzi castle, called Castelluccio by the locals, is actually a fortified complex. The original plan (13th century) has all but disappeared apart from the walls and battlements. In 1766, the castle was converted into a manor and part of it still houses a private residence. It also features the theatre of La Casa di Dante (a prestigious cultural institution), the Museo Fortunato Bellonzi for contemporary Dantesque paintings and a specialist library |
