The performance takes place on Easter Sunday around Noon in the setting of Piazza Garibaldi, crowded with a multitude of people. At 11:30 the two statues come in the square of St. Peter and S. John the Evangelist. The two Saints, meanwhile, are knocking at the door of the church to proclaim the resurrection to the Virgin which comes out, still dressed in black like on Friday. After the run there are shots of fireworks, the sound of banda, the applause of the people and the emotional embrace of all the members to the four men of the quadrille, selected at random each year. From the success of the ceremony, the fall of the mantle and the flight of doves, derive wishes on the new season and in general the near future of the city. This is the most exciting moment of the whole Easter period and is experienced by all citizens between tension and hope. The ceremony ends with the procession, reconstructed after the confusion that follows the arrival of Madonna, back after a short ride in the church of Santa Maria della Tomba
