| The Wolf, in these places has always been the sign of the bloody relationship between man and nature. Today, with the formation of the Apennine Wolf Wildlife Area, in Pretoro the munipality has wanted to realize an area to preservation the most distinctive characters of the Majella mountains.
The wildlife area is located in an area scenically interesting and with an environment suitable for the species. It has been detected in an area located between the last houses of Pretoro and the hotel "The Squirrel", about 750 meters, also for reasons of ease of access by visitors to the Reserve and National Park of the future. The museum instead, which will also serve as an information center of the reserve and the future park, is within the Church of the Purgatory, municipal property, located within the historic center of Pretoro. |
