The church was built in the seventeenth century, outside the city walls, together with the '"Hospice of the Minimum": this was a monastery in 1716, abolished in 1806 and turned into a hospital in 1813. Today the whole monastery is part of the civil hospital "Umberto I". The last restoration was generally 1974. The printing side on top of a stone statue of St. Francis of Paola. The interior consists of a nave with a transept and side chapels. The altar is dedicated to Our Lady of La Salette and was designed by a local craftsman in 1882. A chaplain of St. Paul imported to Fasano, at the end of the nineteenth century, the cult of the Virgin appeared in the village of La Salette in France. The entrance is surmounted by a canopy of wood and a pipe organ in 1876. At the center of the church dominates the eighteenth-century wooden pulpit. The altars of stone and stucco of the side chapels of the Neapolitan school and Puglia (seventeenth century). The other altars have the right to: a statue of the Pietà (carried in procession on Holy Friday), and the paintings of the Madonna del Carmine, and the Crucifixion and the Passing of St. Francis of Paola on the Straits of Messina, those on the left: the Assumption Our Lady of the Well, Saint Lucia and Saint Michael
