| The impressive Palazzo de Petris Fraggiani looms over the tiny urban centre for which it was the ultimate defence. This building was transformed into a palace, after it was acquired in 1620 by Nunzio de Petris of the Castiglione fiefdom. The current layout, consisting of a residential core and numerous rooms used for storing and processing agricultural products, is the result of later transformations. The original nucleus dates back to the 10th century, the other buildings were annexed to this (17th-18th century), thus forming the central courtyard. |
