| The Giumentina Valley, with the area of the tholos, is one of Abruzzo’s main sites of the early and middle paleolithic era. Along the road that leads to the plateau of Valle Giumentina are identified on the left a group of huts tholos, remarkable for size and workmanship. The main building is the largest group of about five hundred specimens of this type over the area, and is the only double-decker. There are other smaller buildings to form a small village. |
