| Located on the “piazzetta” or little square, the highest point in the town center, behind the Main Church of San Giacamo Apostolo. It memorializes the sacrifice of 103 civilian victims during the German occupation of the Second World War. Height of 20 meters (66 feet), with a stone base and an artistically designed railing enclosure.
A stairway leads to the viewpoint where one is awarded an extraordinary panorama stretching from the Maiella to the Adriatic, and from the valley to Lake Sangro and even as far as the mountains of Molise. |
