Chiesa di San Salvatore
chiesa di Sant'Oronzo
Church, ruined church, chapel, temple
Catholic
no
It was built in octagonal shape inspired by the Jesuit Bernardino Realino in the seventies of the sixteenth century and built by Philip II Mattei. Inside the chapel dedicated to the Blessed Salvatore, is preserved the precious stone altar commissioned by Alessandro Mattei in 1704 to Joseph Cino (who left carved his initials), a famous sculptor and decorator of Lecce Baroque. Fascinating is the vault like "umbrella".
