| The church of St. Onofrio, attached to the convent entrusted to the Dominican Fathers, was built in the feud of uninhabited Nubilo (or monastery) in 1551 by Filippo Mattei. With the suppression of religious orders sanctioned in 1809, then, the building went to public property and the inhabitants of the manor "were left to themselves in terms of religious and spiritual." In 1922 was built the parish of Holy Mary of Good Counsel. There are two elements of beauty: its portal, on which there are weapons of Mattei (assigned to the architect sculptor Gabriele Riccardi Lecce) and the painting "Christ of compassion," presumably from the sixteenth century, still preserved in the Convent. |
