Description:
The church of S. Maria Spogna of more than a possible special devotion to Our Lady of Spogna owes its name to the fact that it was probably built on an area rich in carbonate formation known locally as sponges. Structurally, the church can be defined even if the nineteenth-century portal and the window above are still in the Baroque style. The church houses a monumental organ dating back to 1890, testified by an inscription on it on purpose.
