| Thanks to many private citizens the church was built. As time went on, the church had different owners, the last one was the Confraternity of S. Cataldo, who preserved it as a place of worship. Later, the Chapel was dedicated to SS. Cosma e Damiano.Unfortunately, almost all its works of art were stolen. Nowadays, only the painting of SS. Medici does remain within the Cathedral of Madonna della Madia; whereas two statues of SS. Medici and a small wooden statue of S. Cataldo are in S. Domenico Church |
