In the manuscript of C. Riccanale says that the church was founded by Adalbert in 819 (Benedictine and bishop of Teramo). The exterior reflects the number of modifications made ​​during the centuries. Currently the interior is a nave. Inside there are a shrine inlaid furniture sacristy and altars, the work of Fra Giovanni Palombieri and his collaborators, dating from 1762. In one of the side chapels is a painting of the seventeenth century, a modest bill, with the Annunciation, the Holy Pope and S. Joseph. The church was also accompanied the cloister, but no trace remains of it.
