The church dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, was built in 1652 by order of the Countess of Conversano, Isabella Filomarino, as stated on the main facade. The building has a nave internally by the Baroque style and spectacular decorations. The nave is covered by a barrel vault with lunettes and has four chapels on each side, communicating with each other, with altars and paintings of exquisite workmanship. After the chapels, the walls are choruses of wood, one on each side, finished in gold. The altar is dominated by Baroque monument in which the gigantic image of the Eternal Father on his head hanging a wreath-canopy depicting a starry sky with a Dove of the Holy Spirit. The altar has also a painting of the Saints of the Madonna del Carmine facing visible in a box.
