Maria Assunta (XII sec.), Within which are preserved masterpieces as the ambo (1180), the Chair Abbey (1184), the candlestick, the tabernacle and the altar (all dated 1223), and the extraordinary oratory of S. Pellegrino, founded by Charlemagne, but rebuilt in the current form in 1263, showing the walls and ceiling covered entirely by a magnificent cycle of frescoes of the thirteenth century, with episodes from the life of Christ. |
