| The church dates to 1579, as we read on the stone plaque of the rose window of the facade. Built in Renaissance style, has a Latin cross with three naves. From the first half of the seventeenth century, the Baroque has replaced the pure forms of the sixteenth century in the most elaborate and rich decoration of altars, chapels, and the dome of the sanctuary. To 1658 dates the ultimate portal of the main façade. The architrave is supported by four columns in pure baroque style that frame the central door, embellished with elegant grapevine leaves and bunches of grapes that give a temporary and artificial spiral pattern. |
