Minor Basilica, located in the historic centre. It was founded in 1087 by Abbot Elias to house the relics of St. Nicola. It is currently run by the Dominican monks, Orthodox celebrations are held in the crypt. The exterior and interior are in the Romanesque style (XI-XII century. The main facade, simple and majestic, has three parts by pilasters, crowned with arches and double windows open at the top and bottom three doorways, of which the median canopy on columns, is richly carved. Two bell towers of different bill, flank the façade. Valuable are the carved doorways. The interior has a Latin cross plan. The body is divided lengthwise into three aisles by twelve columns of bare (six per side). The pace of the nave, with a trussed roof, is marked by three transverse arches, added in the fifteenth century. Inside: crypt, galleries, Chair of Elia (XII century), ciborium (XII century); ceiling painting by Carlo Rosa (1661-1771).
