| The Monastery of Poor Clare was built in 16 century on the site formerly occupied by the church of S. Rocco. It was intended to welcome the girls to remain unmarried and maybe to become nuns.
The church, rebuilt in 1757 after being seriously damaged by an earthquake, was demolished in 1946 in order to enhance the nearby Cathedral visibility.
Since the end of the last century the building housed the Sisters of St. Anna.
It has recently been purchased by the city for restoration.
Nowadays it houses the Juvenile Court. |
