| The church of St. Augustine has an Eighteenth century facade with a very simple structure, recalling Rococo style. Two orders of pilasters articulate the facade, the first one, of composite capitals, and the second of Ionic capitals.
The interior has a single nave and a rectangular chancel separated from the nave by a triumphal arch.
The chapels house the statues worshiped and carried in procession by the confraternities of St. Anthony of Padua, St. Nicholas of Tolentino and Sacred Belt, of Our Lady of Peace.
On 1st July 2010, the Archbishop of Taranto, appointed the new Rector and reopened the Church of St. Augustine keeping its status of Rectory. |
