Description:
Located in the historic centre. It was founded 1283 by Charles of Anjou. Home of the Franciscan Minor Conventual until 1866. Since 1994, it houses the Centre of research of History and Art of Bitonto. In the monastery there is the Diocesan Library Section-Bitonto. The building is in Romanesque-Gothic style. It houses: Renaissance and Baroque chapels and altars, sculptures in late medieval chancel. The domes are of the mid-nineteenth-century. The convent and the cloister of the XV century.
