The Church of St. Anne was founded in the thirteenth century by the Rogadeo family inside his palace. It is also called Seat for here gathered the nobles after 1551, the year when Bitonto rescued the city from the Spanish crown. The building was renovated and transformed in the eighteenth century in Rococo style, with the exterior clad in rusticated.
The building was donated by Count Admiral Rogadeo to the City of Bitonto. It currently houses the City Library and Museum and Gallery in the city. Inside the structure there are the funeral slabbof James Rogadeo of Ravello (1230-1305), and the plate that reminds Rogadeo Vincent (1834-1899), first governor of the Land of Bari between Garibaldi and the Mayor of Bitonto.
