| The church was built in 1451 and restored in 1585 following losses reported during the Sack of Molfetta, 1529.
It is called by locals “Zecchelénde”, that is Zoccolanti Observant Fathers, who have governed for a long time, or “Mécolate”, ie Immaculate, because it is a statue of the Immaculate Conception and the seat of the homonymous confraternity .
The interior houses precious works of art: the choir of carved walnut, with 28 stalls, Gothic (sixteenth century) the paintings of the Adoration of the Magi and the Fall of the Rebel Angels, by Flemish painter Gaspar Hovic (XVI century) and the Triptych Tuccio d'Andria (XV century). The wooden statue of the Immaculate Conception is the work of sculptor Brodaglio (second half of the eighteenth century). Today it is home of a parish.
