| It was founded in the sixteenth century, and rebuilt in 1614 by lay congregation of Mount Carmel. It was restored in 1881. Today is the seat of the Confraternity of Mount Carmel. The building is Baroque. Inside: venerated wooden statues of Christ, Philip Altieri (of 1674); picture painted of S. Vito, Alexander Fracanzani (of 1621); frescoes of the Cross and the Virgin of Carmel on the vault, several paintings produced between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. |
