Description:
The current cathedral was built at the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth century in neoclassical canons. It was inaugurated in 1872. The building is located in the historical city on the foundations of the ancient cathedral, built in the Byzantine period and rebuilt in Romanesque style from 1073. Inside is several paintings by Michele De Napoli-including the image of Our Lady of the Invention Sovereto - and a good collection of wooden statues. The cult of the Archangel was inaugurated by the Normans in Terlizzi (late eleventh century.
