| The Church of St. Ignatius was the beginning of the eighteenth century. It was built on the initiative of the Brotherhood of the Presentation of Mary at the Temple in the center of the densely populated suburb of St. Ignatius. The neoclassical facade dating back to 1882. Inside are numerous works of art, including painting of the Presentation of Mary at the Temple of Saints Ignatius and Francis de Sales (perhaps the work of local painter Gioacchino Quercia). A series of six paintings depicting the major feasts of the Madonna. There are also numerous wooden statues including those of Our, Archangel Raphael (that of 1828, Giuseppe Volpe), S. Joachim with young Mary (1769) and the Immaculate Conception. |
