General information
Chiesa di Santa Lucia
Church, ruined church, chapel, temple
Catholic
no
The church stands in the center, sandwiched between Scalera palace and the convent of Poor Clares. Perhaps it is to be identified with the ancient church of S. Peter of medieval times and in 1450 received the title of S. Lucia. On the front there is a sober Renaissance style portal, on which there is a kiosk later sailing with a central stone statue of St. Lucia. Inside are preserved statues of wood and painted two important paintings of the sixteenth century, depicting the apostles Peter and Paolo.
