Oratorio di S. Francesco
Church, ruined church, chapel, temple
Catholic
no
It was built at the beginning of the eighteenth century (1713) to accommodate the Confraternity of the Sacred Stigmata or S. Francis, who still runs it. The interior is a rectangular hall, and houses a wooden choir of the local work of the eighteenth century, when the stalls there are depictions of saints, blessed and seraphic protector of the order. Located on the only altar is a fine wooden statue of St. Francis of the Neapolitan school. In a niche is also kept a stone statue of St. Antonio perhaps the sixteenth century. Among the paintings indicates a Madonna with Child and Angels of the sixteenth-seventeenth century and, in the small sacristy, a sixteenth-century painting of the Assumption of the Virgin definitely coming from other church.
