| The building was born with dual function of theater and town hall, designed by architect Nicola Scodes (1836) on the site of the old mills, said "centimoli". The work was completed in 1845, and also included the rehabilitation of a large and spectacular square. The neoclassical facade, elegant and "play", is marked by paired Ionic columns. The council hall is rectangular, and is full of decorative and figurative elements. The vault is rich in various allegorical paintings glorifying patriotic and civic values. |
