Description:
The Church of St Marys in Klanjec is adjacent to the Franciscan monastery which was founded by Viceroy Sigismund and Nikola Erdody in the sixteenth century. The church has two side chapels and inside is marquetries, a library, paintings and Baroque altars. There is also a crypt which houses a tin sarcophagus for a member of the Erdody family that dates from the Baroque period which is well worth viewing.
